1. What information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • Contact details you provide when joining the waitlist as an individual, such as name, email address, whether you are considering a pre-nuptial or post-nuptial agreement, an approximate timeframe, and whether you already have a solicitor
  • Contact details you provide when registering interest as a family lawyer, such as name, work email address, firm, role, and the approximate number of nuptial agreements you handle each year
  • Message content you include in emails or other enquiry correspondence
  • Technical data automatically collected when you visit the website, such as IP address, browser type, device information and pages viewed, through hosting and server logs

We do not ask for financial information, documents or details of any agreement through this website.

2. How we use your information

We use personal data to:

  • Respond to enquiries and interest registrations
  • Provide information about Nuptie and arrange follow-up conversations where appropriate
  • Understand demand for the product
  • Operate, secure and improve the website
  • Comply with legal and regulatory obligations

3. Legal basis for processing

We process personal data on the basis of your consent (where you submit an enquiry), our legitimate interests in operating and developing Nuptie, and where necessary to comply with legal obligations.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal data. We only share information with:

  • Service providers acting on our behalf (for example hosting, email delivery or analytics providers), under appropriate contractual controls
  • Professional advisers, where reasonably required
  • Law enforcement, regulators or other parties where we are legally required to do so

5. International transfers

Some service providers may process data outside the United Kingdom. Where that occurs, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with UK data protection law.

6. Data retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including responding to enquiries and meeting legal, accounting or reporting requirements. You may request deletion of your data at any time, subject to any lawful retention needs.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction or deletion

8. Cookies and similar technologies

The website may use cookies or similar technologies that are strictly necessary for the site to function. If we introduce optional analytics or marketing cookies in future, we will update this policy and provide appropriate controls where required.

9. Analytics

We may use privacy-conscious analytics or hosting metrics to understand aggregate website usage (for example page views and referral sources). Where a third-party analytics provider is used, their processing will be subject to their own terms and this policy will be updated to name that provider.

10. Data security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including access controls and secure hosting practices. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children

The Nuptie website and enquiry channels are intended for adults considering a nuptial agreement and for family law professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
